The Prague Atelier

Our studio sits at Revoluční 655/1, a 19th-century industrial building where the sound of the Vltava River mixes with the click of keyboards. The workspace is an open canvas: raw concrete walls meet polished oak, and the line between digital drafts and physical sketches blurs.

Client meetings often start with coffee at the communal table, where wireframes are sketched on paper before a single line of code is written. This deliberate friction—between analog and digital, between open space and focused work—is where our ideas gain their initial momentum.

"Our view: the historic Malá Strana district. A daily reminder that context shapes design."

The Framixa Ethos

Our work is governed by principles, not trends. These five tenets are non-negotiable filters we apply to every decision, from a single button state to the site's information architecture.

  • 01

    Clarity Over Decoration

Every element must serve a communicative function. If it doesn’t explain, direct, or clarify, it’s removed.

  • 02

    Structure as Narrative

Information architecture is the plot of the user’s journey. We map pathways with the rigor of a story outline.

  • 03

    Motion with Purpose

Animation is a navigational aid and a feedback signal, never a cosmetic afterthought. It guides, never distracts.

  • 04

    Typography as Voice

The typeface is the primary carrier of brand tone. We select weights and spacing for their emotional and functional impact.

  • 05

    Performance is a Feature

A 2-second delay loses users. Accessibility and Core Web Vitals are not checkboxes; they are foundational design constraints.

The Process: From Brief to Launch

Transparency builds trust. Our process is iterative, not linear, with built-in checkpoints to prevent common pitfalls and manage trade-offs.

1

Discovery & Strategy

We conduct stakeholder interviews and audit existing assets. This phase defines the "why" before any visual work begins.

2

Information Architecture

We map the user's journey and structure content hierarchies.

Low-Fidelity

Sketches & wireframes. Focus on logic over aesthetics.

High-Fidelity

Detailed prototypes. Focus on flow and interaction patterns.

3

Visual Design & Prototyping

The visual language is applied. We prototype to test interactions, not just aesthetics.

  • • Brand alignment audit
  • • Cross-browser compatibility check
  • • Accessibility compliance review (WCAG)
4

Development & Integration

Clean, documented code. We integrate necessary third-party systems (e.g., booking, CRM).

5

Launch & Optimization

Post-launch, we monitor metrics and make data-informed adjustments.

Core Web Vitals Load speed, interactivity.
Conversion Paths User flow analysis.
Engagement Scroll depth, session time.
Bounce Rate Goal: under 40% for content sites.

Collective Competencies

UI/UX Strategy Front-End Dev Motion Design Brand Systems Full-Stack

Collective Expertise

We are not a collection of siloed specialists. We are a tight-knit unit where perspectives collide to strengthen the final product.

"Our strength isn't in being generalists, but in how our specialist perspectives—developer, designer, strategist—challenge and refine each other's work in real time."

Decision Structure

We don't have a traditional CEO. Our Creative Director and Technical Lead share decision-making, ensuring that aesthetic ambition is always balanced by technical feasibility and client business goals.

Weekly Ritual: The Critique

A developer questions a designer's layout for performance. A motion designer proposes a more fluid transition. This cross-functional critique is mandatory, not optional.
